Stephen Taylor has over 35 years of commercial and management experience. Stephen’s career has been spent working for multinational companies, a Public Private Partnership and in management consultancy. From an initial role in warehouse and distribution management with a leading UK high street retailer, Stephen has pursued a successful business career embracing supply chain systems design, business planning, FMCG and construction products sourcing and international marketing. He has extensive experience in logistics management, international trade development and capital investment projects including direct accountability for businesses in his General Manager roles. As Project Director of a PPP for economic development and port centric business growth, he formulated and led multi-disciplinary work programmes to promote and win new transport infrastructure, trade growth and inward investment around the UK’s largest ports’ complex.

In 2010 and 2011 Stephen was Chair of the Port Centric Logistics Conference organised by Navigate Events.
He is a Director at UK Ports and Logistics Ltd and co-founder and Director of Port Centric Logistics Partners Ltd in the UK.

Budha Majumdar is a Master Mariner and highly experienced ports, shipping and logistics professional. Since 1976 Budha has worked in ports and terminal management and advises on port master planning, marketing, organisation and operations in port-connected supply chains. More recently he has worked extensively on wind energy development projects from a ports and logistics perspective. He has worked in UK and overseas advising on port master planning, capacity analysis, port marketing and operations. He is Ports Consultant to major offshore wind farm developers in the UK, assisting them in identifying suitable construction and O&M ports


Budha’s port management career started in Liverpool, UK before taking responsibility as General Manager at the Medway Ports near London. From there he moved to Associated British Ports (ABP) where he rose to the position of Port Director and a member of the ABP Board of Directors. This was followed by his appointment as Managing Director of Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, including responsibility for merging the activities of the Port of Liverpool with that of the Manchester Ship Canal

Internationally, Budha Majumdar has worked on overseas consultancy projects, including advising on port planning and marketing for the Port of Mundra in Gujarat India, and on development of new terminals in North America and in the Middle East. Budha has been General Manager and CEO of a container terminal concession in Tartous, Syria where he set up a local company, obtained all necessary Government approvals and successfully established Syria’s first specialised private sector container terminal on behalf of International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI).

Budha’s work as a Ports and Terminals consultant has included a wide range of international port-related assignments and offshore wind energy project development. Budha is a Course Director for training and education of future port professionals. He is a co-founder and Director of Port Centric Logistics Partners Ltd in the UK.
